不知大家是否还记得之前大白发布的一篇关于“大雨不是big rain”的文章，里面说到“大雨”不是big rain，外国人形容“雨大”习惯用heavy，翻译过来就是“重雨”。比如说heavy rain 大雨，heavy clouds大雾。而且小雨也不是small rain，而是light rain。因为中文表达习惯导致英文理解错误的例子还有很多，下面大白为大家简单罗列下。
太阳很大、很弱
“太阳很大”不能翻译成“the sun is big”，应该是“the sun is strong”，同理，“太阳很弱”应该翻译成“the sun is weak”.
例句：The sun is so strong that you need to wear a sun hat and sunglasses.
阳光如此的猛烈，你要戴上太阳帽和太阳镜。
下下个星期
“下下个星期”不能简单翻译成“next next week”，应该是“the week after next”或“in two weeks”。
例句：He'll return to London the week after next.
下下个星期他将返回伦敦。
You can meet me at the airport in two weeks if you like!
如果你愿意的话你可以在两周之后到机场接我！
